| Our long-term goal is to create a child machine with the language and learning ability of a 4-5 year old, a task which might very well take 10 years or more. When we have built a capable, active, learning machine with the language ability of a 4-year-old human infant, we will be well on our way to building real, useful artificial intelligence.
