| | LMC2 Competition Canceled |  | Savyon, Israel -- November 1, 2002 - Artificial Intelligence Research (Ai)
(http://www.a-i.com) announced today that the LMC2 competition has been canceled.
The Official Rules of the Second Learning Machine Challenge stipulate that the competition will only be held with a minimum of 10 participants. By the announced deadline, only two game submissions and a single player submission was received.
Ai and the LMC2 Steering Committee wish to thank the participants who did make a submission, despite the announced possibility of cancellation of the competition.
Ai is determined to continue exploring and pursuing new ways to promote worldwide research in Artificial Intelligence, particularly in areas related to Natural Language Acquisition by machines.
