Try flushing stdout whenever you write anything to it. We have had some problems with programs which buffer their output.
The Linux binary executable doesn't run! It gives an error saying that "iWidgets" is required.
We have updated the Linux binary executable to fix this bug. Download it from the "Learning Zone" section of the site.
Hey, my program "PROGRAM.COM" doesn't work from the judge program!
On Windows machines we have found that the judge program doesn't behave properly if the ".COM" filename extension is uppercase. Please change it to lowercase and try again. That is, please re-name your program to "PROGRAM.com" or "program.com".
When will you update the judge program to fix bugs and add more example games?
It's already happened! Download the updates from the Testing Zone.
Can you tell me more about the $25,000 prize?
The $25,000 prize will be awarded on the event that we enter into a contract with the author(s) of the software. By entering the challenge you transfer to us no rights apart from the right to evaluate your program by running the round-robin tournament (the challenge itself) and the right to evaluate your program in various natural language learning scenarios. You retain all other rights and complete ownership over your work.
How do I get TCL/Tk and iWidgets onto my system in the first place?
Go to http://www.scriptics.com/software/tclpro/eval/1.4.html and follow the instructions.
Can I assume that the symbols will be strings of some maximum length?
Yes, the symbols will never be longer than 32 characters, including the end-of-string character.
